Bulk Firearm Disposition Guide | FFL Transfer Upload & eBound Management

Bulk Disposition of On Hand Firearms

Use this guide when you need to dispose of multiple firearms at once using a bulk upload, rather than processing each item individually.

Overview

This process involves three main stages:

  1. Exporting your on-hand firearm data
  2. Preparing the import template with disposition details
  3. Uploading the completed file via eBound

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 – Export Your On Hand Firearms

  1. Navigate to On Hand Firearms Search.
  2. Use the search or filter options to narrow down to only the items you want to dispose of.
  3. Once your results are ready, click Export CSV to download the list.
  4. Go to Access Prior Reports and download the exported report to your device.

Step 2 – Download the Import Template

  1. From the main menu, locate and click Upload Transaction.
  2. Select the FFL or Book you are disposing from.
  3. Choose the transaction type — for this example, select FFL Transfer.
  4. Click the Download link to get the import template file.
  5. Open the template and navigate to the second tab to review which fields are required for your transaction type.

Step 3 – Prepare the Import File

  1. Using the FFL Transfer columns as your guide, copy the relevant information from your exported CSV into the correct columns of the import template.
  2. Fill in the disposition details you want applied to all items (e.g., transfer date, recipient FFL information).
  3. Review all entries for accuracy, then save the file.

Step 4 – Upload the File

  1. Return to your eBound module.
  2. Click Choose File and select your completed import file.
  3. Click Upload to process the bulk disposition.

Tips & Reminders

  • Always verify the second tab of the import template to confirm which fields are required before filling in data.
  • Ensure your filters in Step 1 are correct — only items visible in your export will be included in the bulk disposition.
  • Double-check disposition details (dates, FFL information) before uploading, as bulk uploads affect all items in the file.
  • If you encounter errors after uploading, review the required fields on the template's second tab and correct any missing or misformatted data.
