Cancel a Travel Reservation
If the main traveler (the reservation was booked under their account) or all travelers are canceling a reservation:
1. Bring up the customer in Point of Sale.
2. Unless you have All in One Popups turned off, you will see the open travel reservation right away on their popup; click to enter the reservation page.
- Or, you can select the travel icon under their customer profile to view open reservations.
3. Click the CANCEL RESERVATION button on the upper right of the reservation page.
4. All deposit payments will be refunded to Point of Sale.
NOTE: If you have an amount that you will be keeping as a non-refundable deposit:
- Create a non-inventoried item for this purpose under Products. Keep at $0 so that you can adjust in Point of Sale as needed.
- After canceling the reservation, any deposits paid will be on their invoice in Point of Sale. Place the non-refundable deposit part on the invoice, too, and adjust the unit price to the non-refundable amount. Now the remaining refund is due back to the customer, and the non-refundable portion has shifted from deposits to income/sales.
