Ingenico 3500 Setup Configuration Guide

Connecting through Wi-Fi

1.       Make sure device is plugged in and turned on

2.       Press the ¤ key (silver target button above the number 3)

3.       Select “Admin Mode” on the screen

a.       You will be prompted for a password (123456A)

b.       Press the green circle once password is entered

4.       Navigate to Control Panel > Terminal Settings > Comm means > Wi-Fi > Scan networks

5.       Select the network that you intend to connect to and enter the password

Device Configuration Verification

1.       Press the ¤ key (silver target button above the number 3)

2.       Select Admin Mode

3.       Enter Password 123456A, Press the green Enter key

4.       Select iConnect-WS

5.       Select current setup

6.       Notate SSL enabled status (either 1 or 0)

Locating IP Address

          Wi-Fi

1.       Navigate to Control Panel > Terminal Settings > Comm means > Wi-Fi > Status > Display

2.       Scroll down to “IP: “ field

a.       Notate IP as it will need to be placed into host file

            Ethernet

1.       Navigate to Control Panel > Terminal Settings > Comm means > Ethernet

2.       Scroll down to “IP: “ field

a.       Notate IP as it will need to be placed into host file

Editing Host File 

  1. Locate notepad application
    1. Notepad, notepad ++, etc.
    2. Right click application and select “Run as administrator”
  2. Go to File > Open
  3. Navigate to host file at: Local Disk (C:)/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/ will appear blank (change txt.files to all files) /hosts
  4. Paste correct mapping in host file
    1. Paste “ [Insert IP Address Here] 
    2. Hit the Tab Key on your keyboard
    3.  Then enter in "secure.wsstxn.com” in host file (without quotes or brackets)
  5. Save file
