Important Notice: NICS Portal Change & Plugin Update

The FBI has made a recent update to the NICS portal related to ethnicity and race selection. As a result, a change was required in the Orchid-NICS integration.

To ensure continued compatibility, we’ve released an updated version of the NICS plugin, now available in the Google Chrome Extension Store.

Action Required: Please update your Google Chrome extension to maintain proper functionality of the NICS integration. If you need assistance or have any questions, feel free to contact our support team.

Enhanced Web Visibility Control via Taxonomy

The Taxonomy section in the Table Editor has been enhanced for a smoother, more user-friendly experience. Previously, enabling web visibility for a category prompted a confirmation message each time. Now, categories can be activated instantly—without additional pop-ups—making the process faster and more efficient.

       GunBroker Integration Update

  It's here! Our GunBroker integration is ready and in BETA testing with select customers. Stay tuned for the official launch coming soon!


       Important Update on Recurring Memberships & Surcharge Functionality

 As mentioned in the previous release, recurring membership payments should have been processed using the hand-key method for credit card entry. A new feature has been deployed, allowing  stored card information to be used for recurring membership payments when entered via swipe. However, this does not apply to legacy accounts—members who initially provided payment via hand-key entry will need to swipe a new card. Recurring billing and surcharge functionality are available exclusively through First American Payment Systems (FAPS) and are not supported by other merchant processors.

New Feature: Restocking Fees

By popular request, we've added a restocking fee option for returned products. In your Store Options, you can now enable this feature and choose to apply the fee as either a fixed dollar amount or a percentage. Additionally, each product now includes a toggle to specify whether the fee should be applied upon return.

Modify "Ship To" Location on Invoices

After receiving an online order—but before fulfilling the item—you now have the option to change the selected FFL location or switch the order to in-store pickup.

Additional Roundup Pricing Options

A new rounding option has been added for items over $100, allowing you to round prices to $XX9.99 instead of just adjusting cents.

Updates to the Manage Product Screen

A new search field has been added, allowing you to search by model. Additionally, you now have the option to include "Last Receipt Date" and "Last Sold Date" as columns in your search results

Catalog Updates – Products Deemed No Longer Available from the Vendor (“NLA”)

We have removed numerous NLA items from our catalogs and your local POS. Going forward, this will be an automated process.

Bug Fixes: 

  1. In some instances, the surcharge on recurring membership payments was being duplicated. This issue has now been resolved.

  2. ​The POS / A&D reconciliation report has been updated to exclude serial numbers designated for layaway, pending gun sales, and similar holds.
