Release Overview

Q1S3.22 provides enhancements to the following areas:

·      4473 Controls

·      eBound API

4473 Dual Citizenship

An error was found on Question 19 of the 4473 that would not permit users to continue after entering a dual citizenship. This issue has been remediated.

Cancelled or Denied 4473

An enhancement was made to ensure that the number of firearms to be transferred in Question 6 did not revert to zero upon a cancelled form or NICS denial. Should you require additional information regarding this ATF regulation, please consult the following link: https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/should-ffl-enter-%E2%80%9Czero%E2%80%9D-item-6-form-4473-when-firearm-transfer-denied-background-check

eBound API to ERP / POS Feedback

The eBound integration API used for connectivity to ERP or POS solutions has been enhanced. We’ve added a return communication that will immediately inform the user of the host application (ERP or POS) if the transaction was successful or if it failed.  Failure notices detail the exact nature of the issue for immediate correction and reposting.  This feature will eliminate the need for monitoring the API Error Log.

NICS Check Older than 30 Days

Transfers greater than 30 days beyond the NICS check date require the FFL to perform a new NICS check and either: (a) Start a new 4473 or; (b) amend the 4473 in a method permissible by the regulations. This enhancement provides users with the following: (1) A popup notification that the intended transfer date is beyond 30 days; and (b) The opportunity to enter a new NICS date without starting a completely new form. The original NICS date will be a strikethrough (not deleted) and accompanied by the amended date.
