Release Overview

Q2S06.23 provides enhancements/updates to the following:
  1. Barcode and Handling Units *New!*
  2. 4473 Blacklist - *New Features!*
  3. Part Master Upload - Addition of UPC

eBound Users can now generate barcode labels (i.e. a single label for each firearm) and handling units (i.e. assigning multiple serial numbers to a single barcode so they can be transacted as a group). This feature can be  turned on in Account Settings at the Account level. A barcode can be regenerated if needed in Item Details.

Creating a handling unit can save time for future bulk transactions. We have added the ability to transact using handling units in all disposition transactions plus Assembly and Disassembly.

Note: Orchid eBound has been configured to work with a standard 1 1/8” x 3 1/2” linear roll print label. We recommend the Dymo 550 printer that can be found on the Dymo website, Amazon.com or many other retail websites.

4473 Blacklist  *New Features!*

As FFLs are aware, an ATF form 4473 is completed during the transfer of a firearm to a non-licensee which then results in an approved or denied (or delayed) transfer. At times, some consumers have attempted to visit alternate stores upon the denial to a purchase, hoping to circumvent the approval process.

To help FFLs identify the gaming of ATF regulations, we’ve enhanced the “Blacklist” feature that prompts an eBound user upon the attempted purchase by a previously denied transferee.  This feature is designed only to warn users within the same Company of such activity.

The following new 4473 Blacklist features are now available:

  1. Ability to turn the 4473 Blacklist feature on/off in Account Settings
  2. Updated Blacklist criteria to include Date of Birth in addition to First and Last Name
  3. Ability to manually remove and add to the Blacklist.
  4. Ability to bulk upload to the Blacklist.
  5. Users can now view Denials across all Bound Books in Account, regardless of Bound Book access.

Part Master Upload – Addition of UPC

UPC has been added to the Part Master Upload template. The updated template can be downloaded on the Master Data Upload screen.
