Orchid eBound
Customers who utilize Orchid’s eFFL endpoint and wish to leverage another licensee’s phone number for business purposes now have that option! Orchid’s eFFL API response now provides a licensee’s phone number on file from the ATF eZ Check database. No modifications are necessary to retrieve the phone number by calling the current endpoint. Modifications to include a phone number on custom generated reports may be required (customer dependent).
Effective August 4, 2026, the ATF no longer requires transferees to validate licensing via a hardcopy or digital copy of an FFL and that ATF EZ Check is permissible. Customers of Orchid eBound get access to Orchid eFFL for free, which provides an API-driven EZ Check validation for eCommerce, POS and ERP platforms.

Free Shipping Coupon Enhancement
A new “Free Shipping” option has been added to coupon configuration.
Coupons can now fully waive shipping costs at checkout in addition to amount and percentage discounts. Free shipping is reflected correctly in checkout and order summaries.
Consignment Firearm Checkout Restrictions with Glock Manufacturer
Consignment firearms with the manufacturer set to “Glock” previously could not be purchased online when shipping to an FFL, in some cases blocking checkout or showing unclear messaging.
Consignment firearms with “Glock” as the manufacturer can now be purchased online and shipped to the selected FFL.
Consignment Inventory Visibility
Addressed a product display issue where sold consignment firearms were still appearing as available online. This sometimes resulted in customers seeing items that were already sold and encountering errors after selection.
Inventory availability is now correctly synchronized, ensuring sold items are removed or marked unavailable across storefront views in a timely manner.

Email Template Enhancements-Inbound Transfers and Complete Consignment
New email templates are now available for the following scenarios:
- Inbound FFL Transfer – Notifies the customer when a firearm is ready for pickup, including relevant firearm details.
- FFL / Exempt Transfer – Provides transfer-related details, including firearm information and associated customer details (where applicable based on configuration).
- Completed Consignment – Sends a completion notification once a consigned firearm is sold and credit has been applied to the account.
Exempt Transfer
An “Exempt Transfer” option has been added alongside the existing FFL Transfer workflow. This transaction type follows the same flow as FFL transfers only without requiring an FFL number.
Session Expiration Notification for POS Scanning
POS session expiration behavior has been improved during inactivity.
When a session expires, POS actions now prompt for re-authentication instead of silently failing barcode scans.
Package Image Upload Improvements
JPEG and PNG uploads are now supported consistently. File type validation is case-insensitive, and image size limits are applied uniformly across formats.
Contact Management – FFL Address
Online purchases previously added store FFL addresses to customer contact records. Store FFL data is no longer applied to customer profiles and contact records can now be managed normally.

- Destination Based Taxes - Destination-based tax logic will be introduced to support tax calculation based on the customer’s shipping state. Tax is determined by using configured tax zones mapped to sales tax rules.
- Recurring Membership Contract Dates - Recurring memberships will support fixed contract durations in addition to billing frequency. Options include predefined terms (6 months, 1–3 years) or custom date ranges with validation rules to ensure valid billing alignment.
- GunBroker In-Store Pickup Display - GunBroker orders with in-store pickup selection will display as In-Store Pickup within POS invoices.
