Overview - Release Q2S7.22
Orchid POS v1.34 is considered a minor release and will have a rolling deployment over the coming weeks. The highlights from the release are below.
Phone/Web Transfer Orders
We have completely redesigned the online order/transfer process. The following are the key features:
1.) Retailers can now easily receive inventory in (for transfers) and block serial numbers from sale.
2.) Retailers can take a phone order, receive payment and disposition in one workflow.
3.) A packing slip can be printed to accompany the transfer order.
4.) Online orders require the user to select an FFL from the drop-down list. If the FFL is not listed the customer will need to call the store to have it added.
Google Reviews
We have implemented version 1.0 of our Google reviews plugin.
PDF 417 Scanning
We have now incorporated the ability to scan a driver's license and have the data parsed into the new customer fields. This feature allows our retailers to add customer data faster. It does require the retailer to have a 2D barcode reader that can process a PDF417 barcode.
Gunsmithing
Return to Manufacturer for Credit or Replacement
The POS now has the option to do a return from inside the Gunsmithing work order screen. Once the customer clicks the “truck” icon, they will need to enter the appropriate FFL information.
4473 - Reminder
The POS now reminds users to complete a 4473 if the person picking up the firearm is not the same person who dropped it off.
