* Attention – New Help Desk & Ticketing System *

To improve our customer service and usability of software, we’ve launched the next integration of our online Help Desk. The new center went live this morning, though some advanced features will continue to deploy over the coming weeks. Please note that the new center does require a login for ticket submission. However, your secret key is maintained in a cookie for 180 days. Provided that you don’t clear cache, you will remain logged in. The advantage to the login system is the auto population of information about you and your company, and from our perspective, the normalization of information throughout our support system.

 

The following are additional features for your knowledge:

  • Help desk article development – The team has started to update existing articles to reflect present day software changes. In addition, new articles are being developed where missing.
  • Organization – All articles have been organized by software platform, area of the software (i.e., PO & Receiving) and module (i.e, Receive External Order).
  • Ticket Management – Access to your ticket stats and status has been more clearly defined. In addition, a forthcoming feature will ensure that the resolution association with ticket completion / closure will be passed back to the submitted.
  • Getting Started, Video Repository and FAQ – All three areas will be developed and deployed into the portal, by application, in the coming months.
  • ATF Compliance – Easier access to Orchid’s compliance team, resources and to-be-released searchable library of all ATF regulations, letters, rulings and more.
  • Chat support – Real-time, chat enabled support is planned from within each software application, though a roll out date has not been selected.

 

Please be patient as we update our older articles and develop new content. If there are resources that you would like us to develop first, please reach out to the team with a support ticket.

New eCommerce Enhancements for Beta Users

We’re rolling out a set of eCommerce enhancements focused on improving product discovery, pricing clarity, and overall storefront experience.

·       Enhanced Pricing Display
Product pricing now supports clearer visibility across MSRP, online price, and sale price. When applicable, MSRP and standard online pricing will display with strike-through formatting, allowing customers to easily identify discounts and promotional pricing. This ensures a more transparent and consistent pricing experience across all product scenarios.

·       New Arrivals Experience
The “New Arrivals” section has been expanded to provide greater flexibility and control. You can now manage product groupings, customize how many items display per row, and define the number of rows shown. Updates also improve navigation, image loading, and overall responsiveness, giving customers a smoother browsing experience when exploring new inventory.

·       Product Page Enhancements
Product detail pages have been updated with improved layout and attribute organization. Key product information—such as brand, specifications, and additional attributes—now displays in a more structured and consistent format, making it easier for customers to review product details.

·       Brand Filtering & Navigation
Customers can now search, filter, and browse products by brand across the storefront. Brand filtering is integrated into product listings, search, and product groups, helping shoppers quickly find the products they’re looking for.

·       Additional Improvements

Product titles and display formatting have been refined for clarity 

Inquiry-based products now support customizable messaging and email routing 

Ongoing UI and performance improvements across the storefront 

These updates are currently available to beta users as we continue refining the experience based on feedback.

 

Sitemap Enabled by Default

Sitemap functionality is now enabled by default for all clients and templates, including existing sites, helping improve search engine visibility without additional setup.

 

Search Enhancements

Search performance has been improved, particularly when searching by manufacturer and model. Results are now more relevant, with improved handling of incomplete product data.

 

Mobile & UI Improvements

A range of updates have been made to improve layout, spacing, and usability across mobile devices and screen sizes, creating a more consistent experience across product pages, cart, and checkout. Additional header improvements are planned in a future release.

 

Blog Scheduling Accuracy

Blog posts will now publish at the correct scheduled date and time, ensuring content goes live as expected.

 

GunMade Integration – Now Accepting Beta Users

We are currently looking for beta users to trial our newest integration with GunMade. GunMade is an online firearms marketplace that helps retailers expand their reach by listing inventory across a broader audience, making it easier to drive traffic and increase sales visibility. Please contact our support team if you are interested.

Guest Returns Enhancements

Return workflows have been improved to better support guest transactions and multiple payment scenarios, providing more flexibility while maintaining appropriate validation.

 

Filter Behavior Update

Filter behavior after searches can now be controlled through system settings, allowing filters to automatically collapse based on your configured preference.

 

Lock Screen & Security Improvements

Lock screen behavior has been improved to better secure the POS while maintaining a smooth and reliable unlock experience.

 

Invoice Attachments

Attachments now carry over correctly from sales orders to invoices, ensuring documents remain linked throughout the transaction lifecycle.

 

Access Control Enhancements

Permissions related to editing Sales Person and Invoice Date have been expanded, with manager override available when additional authorization is required.

 

Consignment Workflow Improvements

Consignment workflows now include clearer handling of firearm condition, helping ensure consistency across product records and related forms.
