Paper 4473 Number Display in eBound

Previously, any manually entered 4473 transaction number that was entered for a paper 4473 didn’t display in the disposition column of eBound. This has been rectified both retroactively and going forward.

Overturns after 30 Days and Signatures the Day After Transfer

Late this week, we will release new functionality, allowing users to access overturned 4473s that have passed beyond the 30-day NICS date. In addition, the form will allow users to access forms on days subsequent the transfer, but before the 30-day period to address rare instances where a user failed to sign the form.

You now have enhanced control over your online store’s appearance. Within the Theme Editor, you can customize fonts, font colors, font styles, background colors and other areas of the site to better match your brand.

 

Global Search Improvements

We’ve made continued enhancements to our Global Search tool, refining search results and improving relevance, delivering a smoother, more intuitive user experience—especially across large product catalogs. Please note that the Global Search is not the sub-search found on the product group shopping pages. If you lack a Global Search in your header, please contact our team about theme selection options. 

 

New Discount & Tax Setting

To accommodate varying state regulations, we’ve added a new checkout setting that lets users choose tax is calculated net or gross of a discount. This setting can be found in the Online > Configure Checkout > Sales, Tax and Terms menu.

 

Bug Fixes

• Avalara Tax: Resolved an issue that prevented "In Store Pickup" from functioning correctly with Avalara tax calculations.

1. Revamped Product Filters – The filters found on all product pages have been significantly rebuilt and address numerous concerns shared by our user group. We expect this to be released in the coming weeks.
2. New Menu Structure - Please note that we are about to release a new Online menu structure. The changes streamline the online management experience and groups like functionality together for a much-simplified understanding of the eCommerce management experience.

Third Party & FFL Transfers – Now in POS (Major Enhancement)

We’ve completed the first stage of our transfer enhancement! You can now process third party and FFL transfers directly within the POS. This not only streamlines the workflow and improves inventory accuracy—it also ensures your reconciliation reports stay in sync. Refer to the user guide for complete instructions. Going forward, ALL ORCHID POS USERS to stop entering any firearms directly into Orchid eBound.

Price Levels by Category & Subcategory

You can now assign price levels at the category and subcategory level within your taxonomy. This gives you greater control over pricing strategies and ensures consistency as new products are added. Navigate Manage > Store Configuration > Taxonomy > Select either Category or Subcategory > Select icon on the right of the line item. 

 

Label Enhancements (Phase 1)

Label descriptions now wrap across multiple lines. You can enter longer text in both the primary and auxiliary description fields without getting cut off, making your labels more informative and customizable. This is the first of a two-phase project to significantly improve our store printed labels. 

 

RSR Announcement 

Last week RSR made an announcement regarding new requirements with credentials. This will affect users with live feeds. Make sure to add your updated creds to the integration page. 

 

Bug Fixes

• Consignment Agreements: Fixed an issue that prevented users from reprinting agreements.
• Avalara Integration: Trade-in items now calculate taxes correctly—no more interference from the integration.
• GunBroker Defaults: Default settings are now properly applied when creating new listings.
