Release Overview
Serial Number ‘Entry’ Count and Pre-Count Toggle
Several clients asked for a live counter on each standard transaction screen that would enable them to see how many serialized units have been entered. The counter was added in the lower right of each transaction screen above the list of serial numbers. Additionally, we’ve added a toggle switch on the Account Settings page whereby an Account Admin can turn off the requirement to enter a serial number pre-count.
Export of 4473 In-Progress List
We’ve added the ability to export the list of 4473’s categorized in the “in-progress” state.
Improvements were made to the recertification signature area to limit the risk of confusion between the Clear and Accept Signature buttons. Additional control was added to ensure that a transferee could not proceed without bypassing the signature field.
Data Entry Controls
Some customers reported instances whereby their scanners or excel cut and paste entry of serial numbers would include spaces before or after the serial number. A ‘trim’ feature was added to eliminate these spaces from future data entry.
Additionally, we’ve added a serial number type ahead feature to the Corrections Report to simplify the selection of a firearm.
Enhanced Assembly Control
A user reported that, when using the batch import feature, they were able to re-assemble a firearm without changing characteristics. An enhancement was made to require a change in characteristics for assembly or disassembly.
ATF National Tracing Center (‘NTC’) Report
FFLs seeking to participate in the voluntary submission of trace data are required to follow an ATF-defined format for upload to the tracing center. In this sprint we created a report that mirrors that format but with the minimal amount of required information. The most current plus the prior two month’s reports are now accessible from the “ATF NTC Report” link. Prior to the end of October, we’ll automate the monthly send of this report from our server to yours for subsequent posting to the ATF. Note – The data transmission to your server (and IP address) and subsequently to ATF’s is a requirement of the program. The ATF will not permit the send of data from an IP address other than your own. For additional questions regarding ATF Traces or the NTC process, please contact our regulatory compliance team.
