Orchid eFFL eCommerce Locator API

We now have the ability to pull in FFL / SOT on file links so that the customer can view / download them locally from the API response

 

Orchid eBound

Additions to IM Exports

Firearm Type and Manufacturer have been added to the Inventory Management user interface and exports.

 

eBound Exports

Department, Location, and Sub-Location are now part of the Additional Columns that can be added for eBound exports.

 

Corrections Parity

Corrections to Section A for an e4473 reflect the required updates in the Bound Book, Corrections Log, and PDF 4473.

 

Access Prior Reports

A red "X" is now available to cancel queued or pending reports in eBound.

 

Resolved Bug Fix
Carriage return has been restricted, so as not to load blank lines for exports from eBound.

 

Orchid eCommerce

To help our eCommerce customers remain compliant with newly enacted California laws AB-1263 and SB-704, Orchid has implemented new software controls for selling firearm parts and accessories into California.

Summary of California Requirements shown in the Video Briefing and Synopsis

Under AB-1263 and SB-704, FFLs selling firearm parts and accessories into California are required to implement the following controls:

  • Mandatory disclosures to all consumers purchasing firearm parts and accessories in California
  • Mandatory capture of the consumer’s attestation confirming they have read the disclosure
  • Required validation that the purchaser is at least 18 years old
  • Required validation that the shipping address matches the address on the purchaser’s ID
  • An additional requirement that firearm barrels may only be shipped to California FFLs (This requirement and related software controls will be effective July 1, 2026)

 

New Orchid eCommerce Enhancements 

To support these requirements, Orchid eCommerce now includes the optional enhancements for your convenience. Refer to this guide for a step-by-step instructions and video walkthrough. eCommerce Controls for California Laws AB-1263 and SB-704

 

Note: Enabling parts and accessories is currently a manual process. We are actively updating vendor catalogs to include this setting. Once available, a simple catalog resync will automatically apply this flag. This update is planned for an upcoming development roadmap release.

 

Resolved Bug Fix

·      Double shipping charge for non-ShipStation orders: Fixed an issue where shipping price session values were not reset when an item was removed from the cart, resulting in duplicate shipping charges.

·      Out-of-stock visibility for used and consigned firearms: Resolved an issue that caused some used and consigned firearms to remain visible online after being marked out of stock.

Orchid POS

Serial Number “Stuck” - We identified a few scenarios where serial numbers would appear to be “stuck” and not selectable in POS transactions. The investigation revealed that the majority of issues stemmed from edge cases during partial returns, pending gun sales, layaways, special orders, and third-party integrations (such as GunBroker and eCommerce).

 

Additional contributing factors included multi-tab activity, administrative serial number deletions, and user-driven cancellations in the midst of the delivery workflow.

 

The primary root causes have been identified and corrected. Cleanup and data correction related to these root causes will continue over the next two weeks, after which we expect this issue to be fully resolved.

 

Multi Store, Cross Inventory

Multi-store accounts that copy inventory across locations will now see an additional column in the Manage Products screen displaying available inventory at other locations.

 

My Account
A new My Account button is now available under the Manage tab, providing quick access to your billing portal.

 

Resolved Bug Fix:

  • Receive External Order: Fixed an issue where items configured to solicit serial numbers were incorrectly requiring serial numbers during receipt.
  • Trade-In tax settings: Restored missing tax checkboxes for trade-in transactions.
  • RSR POS data: Resolved an issue that caused duplicate part numbers to be sent to RSR.
  • Tax-inclusive pricing: Fixed a rare rounding issue affecting tax-inclusive pricing calculations.
