4473 Enhancements

• Prohibited Questions Review
  The optional review process prior to customer signature has been expanded to include prohibited questions in Section B. This can be enabled or disabled by a Company Admin in Account Settings. The new Prohibited Questions Review will only appear if the second toggle is turned on, entitled “4473 Section B Review (After Q21).”

 

• In-Process Form Corrections
  You can now make corrections to a 4473 form at any time before completion. Use the Action dropdown in the In-Process or Complete sections to access correction options.       

1. In-Process and Complete View Updates
   The Action dropdown menu has been reorganized to prioritize the most commonly used actions, making them quicker to locate. In addition, we’ve added a new column to indicate the form of background check performed. This column will either be black (i.e., it has not yet been performed), or state FBI/NICS, NFA Exempt, or Exempt.

 

• Military Address Update
  The additional address fields for military customers have been streamlined. A new "Show More Address Fields" button now appears, allowing customers to reveal and complete these fields as needed.
  
  
  
• Q26a and Q26c Logic Update
  When "Department of Defense" is selected in Question 26a, Question 26c will no longer be required.

 

A&D Book Export with Notes
When exporting your A&D Book, you’ll now see a dedicated column for the Notes field, ensuring additional details are retained in the export. This data will only appear in the .xlsx export, and not the ATF PDF view. 

 

ATF User Account Enhancements
The ATF user experience has been improved with cleaner navigation, refined menu options, and updated export and checkbox functionality to help auditors understand which forms they have already reviewed during their inspection. 

Bug Fixes
Downloaded attachments to a 4473 were appearing blank when opened.

ShipStation Integration Updates 

We’ve improved the ShipStation integration by cleaning up the available shipping options at checkout. Previously, all options were shown—regardless of availability—and POS only defaulted to 2-Day shipping. You can now configure which shipping methods you'd like to offer (e.g., Ground only), and only those selected options will appear at checkout. Also, you can now email the customer the tracking number along with their invoice.

GunBroker Integration Now Live
The direct API integration between Orchid POS and GunBroker.com is officially live. Dealers can now create and manage both fixed-price and auction-style listings directly within the POS. This integration streamlines online selling by supporting recurring and featured listings, automatically including product images, and aligning with compliance requirements. It enhances in-store to online workflows and boosts inventory turnover.

 

New GunBroker Listing Features:
This release also includes new listing enhancements such as Schedule My Listing, Highlight My Listing, and more.

Avalara POS Integration (BETA)
Avalara integration is now available in BETA for POS. While an eComm integration already exists, this version extends tax automation directly into the point-of-sale. We anticipate full release in the next update cycle.

 

Inbound FFL & Private Party Transfers in POS (BETA)
You can now process inbound FFL and private party transfers directly in POS. Previously, this had to be completed in eBound. This update allows you to:

• Acquire firearms into eBound from POS
• Attach customers at the time of receipt
• Maintain accurate accounting for transferred firearms
• Ensure reconciliation reports stay aligned

 

Consignment Improvements
The previously announced consignment cleanup is now complete. Changes include:

• Automatic suffixing of consignment UPCs replaces the -Consign# with -C#
• Reintroduced the ability to autogenerate a consignment UPC. 
• Marking items as No Longer Available (NLA) once sold
• Enabling consignment items to be listed on GunBroker and shipped through ShipStation

 

Bug Fixes

• Product Creation Tax Option: A missing tax selection when manually adding new products has been resolved.
• Used Items & ShipStation: ShipStation integration now correctly includes used products in shipping workflows.

Coming Soon

• Package Builder: The ability to create bundled packages including non-product items like memberships and courses.
