Navigate to:
Manage > Store Configuration > Options > View
Here, you'll find a new Transfer Fee setting. This allows you to set a default fee for all inbound FFL or third-party transfers. You can still override this fee during the part acquisition process.
You can open the Inbound Transfer screen in two ways:
Inventory > Receive > Inbound Transfer
On the POS screen, click the three-dot menu (ellipses) next to the Split Payment button.
After selecting either option, a pop-up will prompt you to choose the intake type:
Single Item
Bulk Import
Fill out all firearm fields.
🔹 Important: The barcode and item/part number will automatically start with a "T" to distinguish transfer items from your regular inventory.
Use the Customer field in the upper right to select or add the person receiving the firearm.
Choose the source of the transfer:
FFL: Use the dropdown to select the dealer.
Third Party: Search or add a customer as the transferor.
This information will be recorded in the Acquisition column of the Bound Book.
Once all required fields are complete, scroll down and click “Acquire.”
Use the Bulk Import Tool to process multiple firearms at once.
Choose your intake source: FFL or Third Party.
Download and fill out the appropriate import template.
Upload the completed file to process the acquisitions in bulk.
To initiate the background check (Form 4473), first locate the recipient:
Use the customer pop-up – it includes a section for inbound transfers.
Navigate to the Inbound Transfer tab in the customer’s profile.
Both locations will display all inbound firearms associated with the customer, along with their current status:
Open
Pending
Complete
Click “Open” in the Action column to begin. This will:
Add the firearm and transfer fee to the cart
Trigger the 4473 pop-up when you click the green payment button
The sale will then proceed like a normal in-store transaction.
If you need to cancel a transfer before starting a 4473:
Open the transfer and select "Cancel" from the Action dropdown.
The firearm will be removed from the customer’s profile and disposed back to the acquiring FFL.
⚠️ Note: Due to varying state laws, firearms cannot currently be disposed back to a third party via the system. These cases must be handled manually in accordance with local regulations.
